This movement was sparked by one small but powerful shift: a single word.

Fifteen years ago, a woman on the edge of her 60th birthday confided that she was dreading the milestone. Though radiant and full of life, she was facing fears of aging, invisibility, and change. In a flash of inspiration, she was told, “You’re not turning sixty… you’re turning sexty.”

Her eyes lit up. Her whole energy shifted. That one playful word unlocked a new perspective. Aging didn’t have to feel like the beginning of the end. It could be the start of something bold, joyful, and deeply fulfilling.

And just like that, Turning Sexty was born.
